As the world prepares to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee marking Queen Elizabeth’s 60th year on the throne of the British Monarch, Newmark Hotels proudly commemorates this event in conjunction with the V&A Waterfront at OYO Restaurant and Cocktail Bar on 04 June 2012.
The waterfront’s history is entrenched in the British Monarch’s reign, dating as far back as 1870 when Queen Victoria and her son Albert officially opened the Breakwater Basin; known today as the V&A Waterfront.
Newmark Hotels appreciates the rich tapestry of the waterfront and represents three historically significant hotels in the precinct; namely the Victoria & Alfred Hotel, Queen Victoria Hotel and the Dockhouse Boutique Hotel & Spa.
V&A Waterfront have a full programme of festivities on 04 June 2012 including the Cape Town Highlanders and the customary cannon firing, culminating in a gala event at the exquisite OYO Restaurant & Cocktail Bar. Guests will include the British Consul General of Cape Town, Chris Trott as well as local city representatives.
